Starwire Donates OnlineGiving Services to Salvation Army OnlineGiving Enables Nonprofits to Raise Funds Through the Internet -- - HAYWARD, Calif., October 1, 2001Starwire Corporation, provider of Web content management solutions for networked communities, today announced that it has donated OnlineGiving services to the Salvation Army Relief Network (http://www.salvationarmyreliefnetwork.org) and the Todd Beamer Memorial Foundation (http://www.beamerfoundation.org) in order to help these organizations raise funds online for national relief efforts related to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The Salvation Army Relief Network (http://www.salvationarmyreliefnetwork.org) is a special Web site set up to acquire donations for the Salvation Armys national headquarters in order to provide shelter, food, and clothing for relief workers in New York and Washington, D.C. This network is affiliated with the official Salvation Army USA Web site, http://www.salvationarmyusa.org, which runs on Starwire Interlink. The Todd Beamer Memorial Foundation (http://www.beamerfoundation.org), founded by Todds wife, Lisa Beamer, is dedicated to assisting youth, promoting Christian athletics, supporting the concept of family, and providing support for families of fellow victims of the terrorist attacks. Todd Beamer was one of the men who heroically organized the diversion of the fourth hijacked airliner, United Flight 93, from reaching its intended destination on September 11, 2001.
